Business Description:  Echoworx Corporation was formed to address the security risks inherent in email communications.  With over one billion emails sent daily, most users rely on this high volume to “hide” their email messages.  Every day, malicious users with technical expertise target and intercept emails/attachments without the knowledge of the sender or recipient. 

Role:  Solaris Capital Advisors Inc. completed a private placement of common equity for Echoworx.  Solaris acted as financial advisor, assisting in the sourcing, negotiation and closing of this important transaction. 

Outcome:  This financing allowed Echoworx to accelerate the commercialization of its technology and, subsequently, launched its product, SecuremailTM, with some of the largest telecommunications service providers in North America - Verizon, BellSouth, USA.net, AT&T, Rogers and IBM Canada.
